Using the editor
Localizing your screenshots
Add languages, translate every text with AI and keep long words inside the frame.
Localized screenshots convert better: people trust a store page in their own language. With Pro you can add any of the 50 App Store languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and Hindi. Each one is drawn with the right font and line breaks, and Arabic, Hebrew and Urdu read right to left.
Adding a language
- Open Languages in the left bar and choose Add a language.
- Press Translate in the AI translation box to translate every empty text at once, or write the texts yourself in Screens.
- Switch the preview language at the top of the editor to check each language.
AI translation
- AI translation only fills empty texts (and texts still in the default language). Texts you've written yourself stay as they are; Retranslate all replaces everything.
- Your app name stays untranslated and highlighted words stay highlighted.
- Pro includes 5,000 translated texts a month; the launch pass includes 1,000. Texts that were translated before don't count again.
- AI can make mistakes. Read the result, or ask a native speaker, before you publish.
- Not happy with it? Undo brings back what you had.
Long words
Some languages (German especially) run much longer than English. Headlines shrink to fit their box; when a text still overflows, the editor warns you on that image so you can shorten it or make the box bigger.
